Kit Parker discusses his ongoing fight to understand and one day treat brain trauma caused by improvised explosive devices (Technology Review)

Kevin “Kit” Parker, assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Harvard University and a U.S. Army Reserve captain, served in southern Afghanistan in 2002.

He describes the growing problem of IEDs (improvised explosive devices), as well as his own efforts to develop a cell model to study brain injury.
