Harvard Tweets from Silicon Valley

Real-time updates and commentary on the week-long Harvard trip to Palo Alto, California

Follow #iLabSV on Twitter to hear the buzz about the Harvard trip to Silicon Valley, January 8-13.

This week (January 8-13), Silicon Valley will see an influx of bright minds and talent, as students from Harvard take part in an entrepreneurial "immersion" field trip.

Sponsored by the Harvard Innovation Lab (i-Lab), the trip to Silicon Valley provides exciting opportunities for students at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Harvard Business School (HBS), and Harvard College who are interested in launching their own entrepreneurial ventures or joining start-ups.

Students on the trip are meeting venture capitalists in the Palo Alto, Calif., area and visiting businesses including Twitter, Zynga, Yelp, and several others, with a focus on the consumer Internet sector. The students will also participate in workshops and receive feedback on their own business plans from entrepreneurs and investors.

The trip is led by Tom Eisenmann (the Howard H. Stevenson Professor of Business Administration and Chair of the MBA Elective Curriculum at HBS) and Fawwaz Habbal (Executive Dean for Education and Research and Senior Lecturer on Applied Physics at SEAS).
