Jason Carroll, A.B. ’00 (computer science), and his team won the multi-hull division of the Trans-Pacific Yacht Race.
Carroll’s boat, Argo, was the first to finish the Los Angeles to Honolulu Race (a distance of 2,225 nautical miles), with a time of four days, 11 hours, 20 minutes, and 32 seconds.
