Tamar Mentzel, Ph.D. ’10 (applied physics) joined the faculty at University of California, Riverside, this fall as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
While a Harvard grad student, she was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship and the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship.
As a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Philip Kim, Professor of Physics and Professor of Applied Physics, she worked on doping topological insulators in the search for topological superconductivity.
