The REEF Makerspace (Reimagining Experiential Education and Fabrication) offers an experiential approach to knowledge at the intersection of Art, Culture, and Science using a myriad of state-of-the-art equipment. REEF strives to create a welcoming community environment for everyone.
The REEF team consists of Makerspace Director Christine Braun and Manager Joe Kile, and is one component of the Teaching and Learning group.
The REEF Makerspace is a unit of the Teaching and Learning group, which also oversees the Active Learning Labs, and a set of instructional shops.
REEF Makerspace Access
All members of the Harvard community are welcome to use the REEF Makerspace.

Once the in-person orientation form has been completed, you will be contacted with a time to attend the 10-15 min orientation. Afterward, a form will be emailed with information to access the Harvard Training Portal's Makerspace Training with Soldering. Once the training has been completed, simply upload the passing certificate onto the emailed form. Swipe access will be granted once the certificate has been emailed to the staff.
Hours for those with swipe access are 7 AM to 12 AM every day of the week.
Hours for those with the completed in-person orientation but not HTP training or those needing tech help: 8:30 AM to 8 PM Monday thru Thursday, 8:30 AM to 9 PM Fridays, and 12 PM to 8 PM Saturday and Sunday.
