The REEF Makerspace (Reimagining Experiential Education & Fabrication) offers an experiential approach to knowledge at the intersection of Art, Culture, and Science using a myriad of state-of-the-art equipment. REEF strives to create a welcoming community environment for everyone.
The REEF team consists of Makerspace Director Christine Braun, Manager Joe Kile, and the Aris Demetrios Maker Fellows. Maker Fellows, comprising of graduate and undergraduate students, actively contribute to the REEF by engaging in tasks related to the Makerspace and general housekeeping, assisting and enhancing the overall experience for our community members.
All members of the Harvard community are welcome to use the REEF Makerspace. If you are new to the REEF Makerspace please use the following link to schedule an in-person orientation. Plan for a 10-15 min orientation.
After completing the in-person orientation OR if you are a returning member please access the Harvard Training Portal's Makerspace Training with Soldering which needs to be completed yearly for continued swipe access.

On completion of the online training, swipe access normally takes one to two weeks.
Hours for those with swipe access are 7 AM to 12 AM every day of the week.
Hours for those with the completed in-person orientation but not HTP training or those needing tech help: 9 AM to 9 PM Monday thru Friday and 12 PM to 8 PM Saturday and Sunday.
