K-12 Collaborative Programs

Harvard SEAS partners with Ed Portal and Public Schools to create enriching K-12 science programs. Our collaborations include Lunch & Learn, Project Teach, and Research Internships.

Lunch & Learn

Lunch & Learn brings researchers, graduate students, and professors from Harvard to public high schools in Allston/Brighton and Cambridge to discuss their science and journeys with students in an approachable and accessible manner.

Project Teach

Project Teach is a college readiness program for 7th grade students in Cambridge and Boston Public Schools. A faculty member, postdoc, or grad student prepares a 45-minute interactive presentation on the topic of their research, as well as some sharing of their career path.

Research Internships

Students from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School are embedded in a research lab with a direct mentor for 10 hours per week, working on a small research project within the lab.  Students are also supported through a course at the high school.
