Analytical Space, a startup co-founded by Dan Nevius, S.B. ’11, (electrical engineering and computer science), has raised $3.5 million of seed funding from investors.
The company is building the world’s first commercial optical communication data relay network in low Earth orbit to provide high throughput and low latency transmission services for remote sensing satellite operators.
Analytical Space, which COO Nevius leads with co-founder and CEO Justin Oliveira, is preparing to deploy its first pilot satellite into low Earth orbit from the International Space Station in the first quarter of 2018.
