A joint degree for innovators who aspire to launch & lead technology ventures. Harvard Business School (HBS) and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) through the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences offer a joint degree program for aspiring entrepreneurs, which confers an MBA from HBS and a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Sciences from SEAS. Designed to train future leaders of technology ventures, the MS/MBA: Engineering Sciences Program will provide a strong foundation in general management and convey concepts and builds skills in engineering, design, and innovation management.
Professors Conor Walsh and Thomas Eisenmann provide an overview of the Tech Venture Immersion program, run jointly by Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Harvard Business School. The program starts with engineering prototyping and early stage product development. The second, business focused, component includes concept development, need and customer-base identification, business model development, marketing, sales, early-stage finance, and pitching for funding.
