Robert Flitsch, S.B. '15 (mechanical engineering) was recently featured in a Popular Science article highlighting his invention, the Addibot.
As repoted in the Popular Science article, an Addibot is a 3D-printing robot that uses raw material to build surfaces up layer by layer, much like a boxy, desktop 3D printer would, but without the same space constraints. Flitsch sees Addibots as an efficient and cost-effective way for municipalities to repair potholes on city streets.
Flitsch and Addibots were first featured on the SEAS Alumni News page.
