Matthew Jones, A.B. ’12 (applied math) has been named a coaching assistant for both the Harvard men’s and women’s volleyball teams. He will join both teams for the 2016-2017 season.
He returns to Cambridge after serving as head coach for the men’s volleyball team at Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, Calif., for three seasons. A four-year letter winner during his playing career for the Crimson volleyball team, Jones set several career records, including ranking first in kills (1,218) and aces (97).
