Zwang recognized for nonprofit leadership

Safe Horizon CEO ranked second in City & State New York’s 2019 Nonprofit Power 100

Ariel Zwang, A.B. ’85 (applied mathematics) has been named one of the most influential nonprofit leaders by City & State New York. Zwang, CEO of Safe Horizon, was ranked second in the publication’s 2019 Nonprofit Power 100.

The annual list “ranks figures who have spearheaded major accomplishments, dug into political and policy issues, connected with powerful elected officials and provided for their communities across the state.”

Safe Horizon, the nation’s largest nonprofit victim services organization, provides support, prevents violence, and promotes justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities. Zwang, who has led the organization for 11 years, was recognized for her advocacy efforts around New York’s recently passed Child Victims Act.
