Professor Na Li elected an IEEE Fellow

Li honored by professional society for contributions to control, learning, optimization

For her contributions to control, learning, and optimization and applications to energy and biomedical systems, Professor Na “Lina” Li has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the highest level of membership within the professional organization. 

Na Li

The Winkour Family Professor of Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics in the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Li researches theory development, algorithm design, and applications for robotics, buildings and biomedical systems. She develops foundational learning and control tools to explore real-world system structures that lead to reliable, efficient and autonomous operation of various systems. 

Her current work focuses on the interplay between control and learning and their applications to robotics, neuroscience, and emerging directions in agentic and physical AI for science and engineering.
