Harvard launches TinyML professional certificate

SEAS, Google, and HarvardX partner to develop hands-on online program

The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) has joined forces with HarvardX and the Google TensorFlow team to deliver a first-of-its-kind Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) Professional Certificate Program.

TinyML is an emerging field at the intersection of embedded machine learning applications, algorithms, hardware, and software, which is driving a new wave of innovative products that offer always-on monitoring or feedback.

The course, which is co-taught by Vijay Janapa Reddi, associate professor of electrical engineering, emphasizes hands-on training with a TinyML program kit as well as real-world application case studies developed by industry leaders.

The program will launch in early fall, 2020. Read more in this blog post and sign up here to receive information on the program’s launch.
