SET in the City
An Exciting Day of Career Exploration for High School Girls!
Each spring female students in the Boston area have the opportunity to increase their interest and awareness of Science, Engineering and Technology at SET in the City.
Activities Include:
- Keynote talks about cutting edge research by professionals
- Interactive science demonstrations at the Boston University Photonics Center
- Hands-on science activities at a local company, college or university
- Lunch and discussions with current students in SET fields
- A show at the Omni Theater of the Museum of Science
This program is co-hosted in conjunction with the Boston Area Girls' STEM Collaborative and sponsored by many institutions in the Boston area including: Boston University, Emmanuel College, Girls Scouts of MA, Harvard University, Northeastern University, Science Clubs for Girls, Simmons College, Tech Boston, UMass Boston, IBM, Wentworth Institute of Technology and WGBH.
